China’s venture fundraising climbed to U.S. levels, exceeding $50B after a decade-long Chinese venture capital boom. Didi Chuxing ($56B) and Xiaomi’s (>$50B) valuations surpass Uber ($48B) in the unicorn club. Total raised of the top 30 mega deals for Chinese startups is $24.46 billion, comparing to only two rounds worth over $1 billion in the US in 2017. China remains ahead of track to double its GDP between 2010 and 2020.
