G-Startup Worldwide is honored to announce the winners for its 2016 Seoul competition. G-Startup Worldwide Seoul is where entrepreneurs from around the globe gathered to pitch world leading VC judges for the first prize of a $50,000 investment and other coveted prizes. The winner Outernets also receives a complimentary trip to Silicon Valley for the global finals to compete against international winners from Bangalore, Tel-Aviv, Beijing, Tokyo, Jakarta, Sao Paulo, and Silicon Valley to win an additional $250,000 investment.

15 high-quality startups selected by the Evaluation Committee of more than 20 active investors pitched global VC’s from prominent firms including Altos Ventures, Translink Capital, K Venture Group, K Cube Ventures, 500 Startups, Walden VC, BAM Ventures, Turn 8, GWC Innovator Fund, and Fashion Technology Accelerator.

G-Startup received over 200 applications from 44 countries. Seoul has developed such a strong startup ecosystem for innovation in Asia that some of the startups are from prominent accelerators including SparkLabs, Primer, D.CAMP, N15, & KOISRA Seed Partners. Many of them received investments from corporate ventures like Samsung Venture, LG, Naver Inc., and leading VC firms like Strong Ventures, Translink, Capstone, Telefonica, and Mash Up Ventures.
