G-Startup Worldwide at GMIC Tel Aviv 2017 Winners Announced!

First place winner Donde Fashion is awarded a $50,000 investment, $5,000 in Facebook ad credits and a trip to Silicon Valley to compete for an additional $250,000 at G-Startup Worldwide Global Finals.

15 high-quality startups selected by the Evaluation Committee of more than 20 active investors pitched global VC’s from prominent firms including JVP Funds, Carmel Ventures (Viola Group), Magma VC, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Aleph VC, Qualcomm VenturesGWC Innovator Fund, Markers LLC, Lool VC, and 500 Startups.

G-Startup received ~ 300 applications from 47 countries. Most of our applications are focused on sectors of Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, Cybersecurity and Robotics. The cohort has raised funds from notable firms like Canaan Partners, Plus Ventures, etc. and individuals like Noam Bardin (Waze CEO and Google VP). A large number of our cohort have graduated from Citi Accelerator, Microsoft Accelerator, Brainnovations, MassChallenge, IBM Alpha Zone, UpWest Labs, StartX, TechStars, and more.

Together G-Startup and all partners succeeded to organize an event offering opportunities for startups around the world to receive global publicity and to pitch world renowned VCs for their next round of fundraising. Special thanks to our Global Startup Enabler, Facebook’s Fb Start and global partners including Sequoia Capital, Cheetah Mobile, and Google Launchpad. Also, we’d like to express our gratitude to our strategic partners, Microsoft and Cloud Valley. All G-Startup Worldwide regional participants will also automatically be accepted into FbStart, a global startup program from Facebook designed to help developers build and grow their products.
